The Bio Optimizer iOS app requires iOS 17 or later (and the minimum iPadOS version shown on the App Store for iPad). Older versions may be unable to install the app or receive updates; platform rules apply.
Bio Optimizer is built so that core wellness scoring and analysis run on your device. We do not operate company-controlled databases whose purpose is to collect, warehouse, or centrally manage your lab-related inputs, demographic or life-stage profile fields you enter for personalization, or similar wellness content on our own servers.
That information is intended to stay under your control—on your device and in your personal iCloud container when you use sync—as described in Section 3. Premium status does not change this design: we do not maintain a separate cloud copy of your health journey as a Bio Optimizer-hosted medical record.
As with any app distributed through mobile platforms, Apple’s services (App Store, subscriptions tied to your Apple ID, crash diagnostics if enabled, and related platform features) and other infrastructure or SDK providers may process limited technical or transactional metadata under their own policies. Bio Optimizer does not intend that optional platform or vendor processing to replace the local-and-iCloud model above.
Bio Optimizer does not integrate advertising networks, cross-app tracking SDKs, or the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for marketing. The app does not present Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt for advertising tracking, because we do not use your data for that purpose.
Bio Optimizer does not ask you to register a dedicated Bio Optimizer username or password inside the app. We do not operate an app-specific Bio Optimizer account database for login or identity inside Bio Optimizer.
Premium access and billing are handled through Apple’s in-app purchase system and are associated with your Apple ID under Apple’s terms and privacy practices—not with a separate Bio Optimizer sign-in credential you create with us.
We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat may process purchase-related data as described in its privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy. Bio Optimizer does not receive your full payment card details from Apple or RevenueCat.
Bio Optimizer’s servers may receive subscription event notifications—such as purchase, renewal, cancellation, billing issue, and refund—from RevenueCat for operational purposes (for example, customer support and entitlement reconciliation). These records contain only anonymous identifiers (such as a RevenueCat app user ID), subscription metadata, and event timestamps. They do not include payment card details, and they are not linked to your wellness or biometric data.
To provide you with a continuous health journey while maintaining high security, Bio Optimizer utilizes your Personal iCloud Storage for data synchronization and backup. This baseline iCloud backup/sync layer applies to all users to ensure data continuity.
Bio Optimizer accesses Apple Health data only with your explicit permission. This information is used to calculate your Bio Optimizer Index and provide wellness insights. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or share it with third-party marketing services.
The app does not use HealthKit background delivery (silent updates while the app is not running). Authorized reads occur when you use in-app sync and related features while the app is active, consistent with your permissions and iOS behavior.
Some features can use HealthKit-authorized data without an Oura account. What is available still depends on what other apps and devices write to Apple Health, your permissions, and how consistently data is recorded or synced. Optional Oura connection may add signals; combination logic follows in-app behavior and does not guarantee any fixed set of metrics.
Bio-oriented summaries that use resting heart rate and heart-rate variability depend on those types appearing in Apple Health. Without Oura, they are often written by a compatible wearable (such as an Apple Watch) or another authorized source; an iPhone alone may not provide them.
You maintain control over your data. You can delete your records at any time within the app or by managing your iCloud settings. Since we are not designed to maintain secondary copies of your health data, deleting it from these sources will result in permanent removal.
Bio Optimizer relies on third-party sources and tools, including optional Oura, Apple Health, and RevenueCat (Section 2), to deliver parts of the experience. Data may occasionally be delayed, incomplete, or inconsistent due to service availability, device conditions, or synchronization status. We provide this service on an "as-is" basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free data delivery from third-party providers.
When you choose to connect Oura, the iOS app completes OAuth 2.0 sign-in with Oura. For that step only, the app may call our HTTPS endpoint https://bio-optimizer.com/api/oura/oauth/token, which relays the standard OAuth token request to Oura’s token service and returns Oura’s response to your device. That relay exists so required OAuth client credentials can remain on our server infrastructure rather than being embedded in the app package. Bio Optimizer is not designed to retain Oura access tokens, refresh tokens, or Oura health payloads on company servers as part of that exchange; tokens are intended for storage in your device’s secure storage for in-app use, consistent with Section 1.
Apple Health may aggregate inputs from multiple apps and devices, and Oura is optional—so your experience may differ by combination of sources and by recording habits. We do not promise uniform richness or timing of bio-oriented summaries across setups.
